If you are trying to live a healthier life, follow some health guides. Sleep, exercise, and social relationships are important.

Avoid sugar calories

Sugary drinks are associated with heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and many other health problems.

Eat nuts

Nuts are nutritious and healthy and are loaded with vitamin E, magnesium, fiber, and other nutrients. Nuts help you lose weight and help fight diabetes and heart disease.

Eat enough protein

High protein intake will help boost metabolism. Proteins also reduce cravings and maintain blood sugar and blood pressure levels.

Drink plenty of water

Drinking enough water has several benefits. It boosts the number of calories one burns. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.

Avoid processed junk food

Processed junk food is unhealthy, and are low in protein, fiber, and micronutrients. They are high in unhealthy ingredients

Don’t fear coffee

Coffee is healthy, and high in antioxidants. Studies have linked coffee intake to longevity.

Eat fish

Fish is a good source of healthy fat and high-quality protein. Salmon is loaded with omega-3 fatty acids.

Enough sleep

Get enough sleep since poor sleep can disrupt your appetite hormones, drive insulin resistance, and reduce your physical and mental performance.

Take care of gut health

Bacteria in the gut are important for overall health. A good way to improve gut health is to eat probiotic foods such as sauerkraut and yogurt besides taking probiotic supplements and fiber.

Do not overcook the meat

Meat is a nutritious part of your diet. It’s high in protein. But do not overcook or burn the meat.

Expose to sunlight or take vitamin D3

Sunlight has been a great source of vitamin D. If you do not get adequate sun exposure, vitamin D supplements can be a good alternative.

Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits

Vegetables and fruits are rich in vitamins, prebiotic fiber, minerals, and other antioxidants. Studies have shown that people eating more vegetables and fruits live longer and also have a lower risk of heart disease and other diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and other illnesses.

Exercise

Go for aerobic exercises such as cardio to keep you fit and fine.

Do not smoke. Drink in moderation

Smoking will lead to several problems, including heart and lungs diseases. Drink alcohol in moderation.

Minimize sugar intake

Large amounts of sugar will harm your metabolic health. High sugar intake will lead to numerous ailments such as heart disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cancer.

Go for herbs and spices

Ginger and turmeric have potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Include ginger, garlic, and herbs in your diet.

Relationships

Social relationships too play an important role in your mental well-being. Studies have shown that people having close friends and family are healthier.

Consume eggs, yolk

Eggs are nutritious and are often termed as multi-vitamins. The yolk contains healthy compounds.
