KATHMANDU: A writ had been filed at the Supreme Court (SC) calling for an order to cancel the advertisement called by the Public Service Commission for various vacant posts in the local level.

Advocate Bikash Kumar Thakur has filed the writ by naming the central office of the Commission and the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers as the defendants.

In the writ, Thakur has argued that the advertisement for open and inclusive category competitive examinations was against the spirit of the Constitution. The Commission had published the advertisement for a total of 9,161 seats for 515 local levels last May 29.
