Windstorm damages 870 houses, breaks down 525 electric poles

BHIMDATTANAGAR: The windstorm occurred on Saturday has damaged 870 households in Kanchanpur district.

According to District Red Cross Society, 37 houses were completely destroyed. “This are the preliminary details collected from 15 sub-sections.

The comprehensive details will come out after two days,” said Manoj Upreti, chief of the District Red Cross Society.

Red Cross Society, local unit, local administration and security agencies are jointly conducting a field work to collect authentic report.

Likewise, a total of 525 electric poles have been broken down in the windstorm.
