NEW DELHI: TIME magazine has put India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on its cover calling him India’s “divider in chief”, media reports said.

The magazine has asked whether India can tolerate five more years of his government.

Likewise, the magazine in the same issue, published a second story on Modi saying, “Modi is India’s Best Hope for Economic Reform.”

The articles on Modi on TIME magazine come as India is holding its Lok Sabha elections, which will be counted on May 23.

The TIME story says “the world’s biggest democracy is divided than ever”.

Likewise, the report on the magazine has also criticized the opposition labelling it as “weak” and “ragtag”

“The Congress has “little to offer than the dynastic principle”, the report said while describing Congress chief Rahul Gandhi as “an unteachable mediocrity”. (Agencies)
