POKHARA: A team of Tourism Entrepreneurs Women Association Nepal (TEWAN) held discussion with representatives of tourism bodies based in Sikkim and Darjeeling on potential partnership for tourism promotion.
The Nepali team which reached Sikkim, Darjeeling and Gyantok of India to promote tourism in Gandaki State took initiative to strengthen tourism relations. On the occasion, the team had an interaction with Director of Department of Rural Development of Sikkim State, Bishal Rai.
Rai made commitment to run tourism promotion training and exposure visit programs targeting the citizens of both the countries in coming days. TEWAN Chair Lakki Karki Chhetri expressed her confidence that the visit would contribute to the promotion of tourism in both the countries.
The Nepali team also held interaction with Sushil Tamang, operator of Cherry Village Home Stay based in Pelling of India. He said that Nepal has vast potential for tourism promotion.
