Bisket Jatra begins in Bhaktapur



KATHMANDU: Bisket Jatra has started in Bhaktapur from today. The festival will officially kick off after the  Bhairavnath’s chariot is pulled by the locals in front of five-story temple in Taumadi of Bhaktapur Municipality-5.

The week-long festival is observed with much fanfare.  Thousands of people from far and near including Kathmandu and Lalitpur flock to Bhaktapur to observe the festival.

The festival is celebrated until April 18.
