BIRATNAGAR: Nepali Congress (NC) General-Secretary Dr Shashank Koirala today hinted at the possibility of postponement of the NC national convention for a year owing to some internal reasons.
Talking to journalists at the Biratnagar airport on Monday, Koirala also said that the results of the recently held by-election reflected the situation that NC was yet to be strong.
He, however, said that his party was positively playing the role of an opposition in the government.
On the occasion, he also emphasized the need for unity among all political parties to safeguard constitution and federalism.
Dr Koirala said instead of wrangling for secularism, the ideology that the religion should be free has to be open.
