In pics: Human chain formed as ‘Occupy Tundikhel’ campaign kicks off

KATHMANDU: ‘Occupy Tundikhel’, a campaign to end encroachment of the large grass-covered ground in the center of Nepal’s capital Kathmandu, has started from Saturday.

On the first day of the campaign, participants formed a human chain from Ratnapark to Sainikmanch.

The protest that started with the symbolic activities like signing the petition and submitting the memorandum to the concerned authority got momentum with wider public support.

In the campaign launched from today for three months, programs demonstrating various arts, cultural programs, photo exhibitions among others will be the tools for sensitizing the issue.
