ISRO endeavoring to restore link with Chandrayaan-2 lander

NEW DELHI: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is endeavoring to establish link with Chandrayaan-2’s ‘Vikram’ lander.

Vikram, according to ISRO, is currently lying on the surface of the Moon after a hard-landing.

Vikram, with a rover ‘Pragyan’ housed inside it, landed on the lunar surface after communication with ground-stations was lost during its final descent.

The connection was lost when it was just 2.1 km above the lunar surface in the early hours of Saturday.

ISRO is making all-out efforts to re-establish contact with the lander, according to an ISRO official. (Agencies)
