KATHMANDU: Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has urged party leaders to refrain from becoming self-centered and individualistic.
Speaking at a program at the party central office at Dhumbarahi today, Dahal hinted at the current trend of party leaders becoming more individualistic of late, which he argued should send a negative message to the people.
He instructed party leaders and cadres to be focused on providing service to the people and making the party and acceptable to all.
During the program organized to commemorate the 21st death anniversary of martyr Suresh Wagle ‘Basu’, Dahal criticized some elements which are hell-bent on defaming the democratic republic.
The party’s role in making the communist movement popular has been commendable, he said adding that since the NCP has got the popular mandate and have a majority government, it should not deviate from its track.
“It is high time that the party and the government gave importance to the needs of the people,” he said.
