One injured as firing goes in Swoyambhu



KATHMANDU: Police have opened fire on a man in course of taking him under control in Swoyambhu area. Milan Lama alias Loplang has sustained injuries in the firing.

According to SSP Sahakul Thapa, a team deployed from Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, shot at Lopsang to take him under control. He has received two bullets in hi legs.

Injured Lopsang is undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital, currently. Police had launched a manhunt to nab Lopsang following complaints that he had been threatening to take life of the daughter of chief of Likhu Rural Municipality, Ramechhap.

He is also charged to have been involved in the incidents of robberies and thefts. Police have arrested one Amrit Tamang along with Lopsang.
