BIRATNAGAR: State chief of State-1, Dr Govinda Bahadur Tumbahang has said a total of 33 bills have been authenticated since the formation of State Assembly. Seven more bills were authenticated in the fiscal year 2075/76 in comparison to the fiscal 2074/75.
State Chief Dr Tumbahang has authenticated total 33 bills, including 13 in 2017/18 and 20 bills in the fiscal 2018/19 (till 16 July 2019), shared Shekhar Regmi, press adviser to State Chief. The first bill endorsed by the first House session of State Assembly was ‘State Economic Work Procedure Bill-2074 BS’. It was passed on February 5, 2018.
Chief Tumbahang certified the bill on April 5, 2018. After assuming the office of chief on January 21, 2018, Dr Tumbahang authenticated the bills endorsed through the State Assembly in line with the Article 201 (2) of the Nepal Constitution. ‘State Appropriation Bill-2076 BS’ was the latest bill he authenticated on July 7, 2019.
Among other authenticated bills in the fiscal 2075/76 BS were related to State Radio, FM and Television Broadcast, roles and responsibilities of district assembly, equal security, treatment and amenities for inter-state residents, disaster management, social development organization and regularization of administrative work procedure.
Other authenticated bills during the same period were related to state fiscal management, tax and non-tax of the state, raising revenue, anti domestic violence, irrigation, assurance of state good governance, state assembly secretariat, amendment to state financial work procedure, wider Birat area development, disaster management, state sports, amendment to the facilities of members of rural municipality and municipality and district coordination committee, implementation of financial proposal and appropriation.
