Man arrested with illegal US dollar bills

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man with illegal foreign currency notes from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Tuesday while he was boarding a flight to Hong Kong.

Passang Yalmoo Tamang, 39, hailing from Morang was arrested with USD 29,950 and 370 Hong Kong dollars during a security check at the airport. The notes were concealed inside luggage, according to police.

Tamang has been sent to Department of Revenue Investigation, Hariharbhawan for further action.
