KATHMANDU: The government has expedited the sapling plantation under the ‘One Nepali, one fruit plant campaign’ with an aim to protect the environment.

It should be recalled that Prime Minister KP Oli had on June 5 last year launched the campaign by planting saplings of fruits at Singha Durbar premises.

According to the PM’s Office and Council of Ministers, the government has so far planted a total of 2.89 million saplings of different fruits. This year in the same day, Prime Minister Oli planted sapling of avocado at the Singha Durbar premises.
