Budhi Gandaki be developed with country’s investment: Deuba

GORKHA: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said the Budhi Gandaki Hydropower Project should be constructed with Nepali investment.

He said that foreign investment should not be brought to construct national pride projects stating that Nepalis would be benefitted from such projects in the long run.

Speaking at a program in Gorkha today, NC President Deuba said since Nepali people have enough funds, they should be given investment opportunities.

He also raised concern over the government’s decision to award the Budhi Gandaki project contract to Chinese Gezhouba Group Corporation.
