7 held for duping youths on pretext of job in Indian Army

KATHMANDU: Police on June 3 arrested seven persons from Hotel Vatika in Nepalgunj on the charge of duping youths by promising them of jobs in Indian Army. Police also confiscated Rs 3.8 million from their possession.

Police arrested Ramji Pandey of Chitwan, Sujata Pathak, Sharmila Adhikari, Arjun Poudel, Ekal Bahadur Thapa and Surya Bahadur Thapa of Pokhara and Nir Bahadur Thapa of Rupandehi, Annapurna Daily reported.

They had been charged with collecting Rs 100,000 to Rs 500,000 from an aspirant promising them of leaking written exam papers.
