KATHMANDU: The Mahayan Bouddha Society Jyatha has initiated basic education on Mahayan-Bajrayan philosophy to youths in Kathmandu.

A total of 30 youths are taking class provided by Gunakar Mahabihar.

Buddhism followers believe that after Gautam Buddha attained enlightenment in Bodhgaya in India, he started preaching the Buddhist values in different parts of the region.

Buddhist scholar Manjushree Ratna Bajracharya said that Gautam Buddha had given sermon to some youths on Mahayan and Bajrayan.

The Mahayan consists of Mantrayan and Parmitayan.

It is believed that there are ten karmas in Bajrayan, and the Bajracharya people have been abiding by these 10 karmas.
