BANKE: The situation in Kohalpur of Banke remained tensed after a school-going girl was severely injured in a road accident on Sunday morning.

Locals and students took to streets when a truck hit the girl at the local High School Chowk along the Kohalpur-Nepalgunj road on Sunday morning.

Irate locals torched the truck and obstructed the traffic.

They even hurled stones at the police and smashed the glasses of several vehicles when the latter used force to disperse the protestors and resume the traffic.
