Nepali Congress against ban on trade unions: Spokesperson Sharma

KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has stated that the agenda of banning the trade unions could not be tolerated by the party.  It concluded that the trade union could be managed and made practical but not be banned.

In a press meet at its party central office here on Thursday, Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma said that such steps of banning trade unions could not be accepted as the trade unions had contributed a lot in various people’s movements.

Discussions about establishing only one official trade union were discussed at the meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee.
