CIAA drags govt employee to court for graft

KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Thursday dragged a government employee to court for graft.

The anti-graft body filed a case at the Special Court against Chief of Division Forest Office, Surkhet Bhakta Bahadur Lama for taking Rs 400,000 in kickback from a service seeker.

CIAA said it had found additional of Rs 500,000 inside a drawer of his workplace, adding that it was investigating the source of the money.
