GORKHA: The District Police Office, Gorkha has rounded up four robbers stealing relief materials stored by the Red Cross Office for distribution. Mahendra Nepal, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Gorkha, shared that police on Wednesday arrested four persons for stealing relief materials stored at the office of Nepal Red Cross Society Gorkha.
The arrested are Jeetendra Majhi, Raj Kumar Majhi, Suresh Majhi and Siyaram Majhi of Gorkha municipality-9, Taksar, he informed. The theft relief materials were also recovered from the residence of robbers, he further shared.
Several relief materials, including blanket, tent, rain coat and sleeping bags worth amounting to Rs 250,000 were stolen from the office on July 11. Investigation into the theft is underway, police said.
