Teacher killed, nine injured in road mishap

SALYAN: A person died and nine others were injured in a road mishap at Kapurkot Rural Municipality-3 in Salyan district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as a teacher Durga Bahadur Basnet, 53, of Siddhi Kumakh Rural Municipality-2, said police.

The accident took place when a truck, Na 4 Kha 9711, heading towards Dang from Rukum fell 50 meters off the road.

Truck driver Tara Prasad Khadka and helper Yagya Bahadur Khadka of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City were critically injured in the incident and they are receiving treatment at Tulsipur Zonal Hospital.
