Paudel died in confrontation: Home Ministry

KATHMANDU: The government has concluded that Kumar Paudel of Sarlahi has died in a confrontation with the police.

An investigation team formed by the Home Ministry in the report has denied mistakes on the part of the police in the incident.

The probe team had been formed following the direction by the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the Federal Parliament.

Sarlahi in-charge of Netra Bikram Chand-led Nepal Communist Party  Paudel had died after the police opened fire on him at Lakhandehi rivulet  in Lalbandi Municipality-1 on June 20.
