Halt vacancy announcement: Lawmakers to govt



KATHMANDU: Lawmakers of the  State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the federal Parliament ordered the government to halt  the recently  vacancy announcement for the recruitment of employees at local units arguing that it is not inclusive.

Public Service Commission had announced vacancies for 9,161 staffers in 515 local units at the recommendation of the  Ministry of Federal Affairs and Administration.

The vacancy announcement has courted controversies. The lawmakers from both the ruling and opposition have protested it saying that the announcement is against inclusiveness and the spirit of the federal constitution.
