Nepal, Myanmar playing friendly match today



KATHMANDU: Nepal, which has played half a dozen matches under the FIFA World Cup Football Qualifier, is playing a friendly match with Myanmar today. The World Cup is taking place in Qatar in 2022.

The friendly match will be held at 4.15 pm Nepal time at Myanmar’s Mandala Thiri Stadium.

Nepal had played against Myanmar one time in this Qualifier before this. Myanmar had won in this match.

Similarly, Myanmar defeated Nepal three goals to nil in the AFC Challenge Cup held in Hyderabad of India in 2008.

Nepal is placed in Group B in the World Cup Qualifier while Myanmar is placed in Group F. Nepal has played all the ‘away games’ under the World Cup Qualifier. It will play against Kuwait on November 19 under the ‘home games’. This match will be held at Dasrath Stadium in Kathmandu.

Nepal has won in one game and faced defeat in three games it played before this under the World Cup Qualifier.
