Bomb goes off near Election Office in Pokhara



KASKI:  A bomb has exploded at Tourist Bus Park near Rastra Bank in Lake City in the district on Thursday.

According to the District Police Office, Kaski, the bomb went off 100 meters away from the Election Office.

The explosion took place at a time when political parties are registering their nominations for by-elections to be held on November 30.

Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP)’s Bidya Bhattarai has filed her candidacy. The explosion took place after she filed her candidacy at the Election Office, an NCP leader said.

Police said they are investigating the case.
