At least 12 killed on Taliban car bomb in Afghanistan

KABUL: Taliban fighters on Sunday killed at least eight Afghan security force personnel and four civilians, and wounding more than 50 civilians, international media reports have said.

The Taliban fighters blew up a car bomb in central Ghazni, government officials said. Taliban has responsibility for the incident near the National Directorate of Security (NDS) compound. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid issued a statement saying that several NDS officers were killed.

A provincial government spokesman confirmed eight NDC members and four civilians died in the explosion. (Agencies)
