He was arrested following an arrest warrant issued by Kathmandu District Court. The court has remanded him to judicial custody for investigation.

The court, however, ordered the release of the operator of the YouTube channel Adarsha Mishra who was arrested along with Gautam, on bail.

It is reported that the final hearing of the case will be held next week.
