Yarsagumba picker dies of altitude sickness



JAJARKOT: A Yarsagumba (Cordyceps sinensis) picker has died of altitude sickness in the highland of Patan of Dolpa district.

Bhim Bahadur Basnet, 16, of Nalgadh Municipality-12 died on the way to a local health post at Taksi in Dolpa district, said the police.

He was a ninth grader at the Himalaya Secondary School at Tallu. So far this season, nine Yarsagumba collectors have died due to various causes.
