Guinness World Record certificates handed to Khabarhub Special Correspondent Thaneswar

KATHMANDU: French Ambassador to Nepal François-Xavier Léger handed over Guinness World Records certificates to Special Correspondent of Khabarhub Thaneswar Guragai for setting four Guinness World Records in front of the Eiffel Tower, Paris in July.

At the special function ‘Celebration of Guinness World Records’ organized by Embassy of France in Nepal and Khabarhub.com at the Durbarmag-based Hotel Yak and Yeti on Friday, Ambassador Léger congratulated Guragai for his successful accomplishment and encouraged him to set more records in the future.

Ambassador Léger expressed his pleasure for being associated as one of the partners to facilitate Guragai’s records.

On the occasion, Chairman of Pavilion Media Naresh Shrestha congratulated Guragai and for making the organization proud by setting the record in Paris.

Guragai set the record of passing metal rings with 28 cm circumference from head to toe 15 times in a minute (previous record 10 times), spinning basketball on head for 26 seconds (previous record 23 seconds), spinning a basketball on the elbow for 13.94 seconds (previous records (11 seconds) and balancing Chair on chin for 4 minutes 18 Sec.

With this, Guragai’s number of Guinness World Records reaches 23.

Guragai broke the records in Paris to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between Nepal and France.

Khabarhub had on July 18 organized a special program to bid farewell to Thaneswar to France at the Pavilion Hall, Durbarmarg. During the program, French Ambassador to Nepal François-Xavier Léger, Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) at the Embassy of France in Nepal Arnaud Champy, and Pavilion Media Group Chairman Naresh Shrestha had wished him for the success.
