Landslide disrupts mid-hill highway

BAGLUNG: Landslide occurred at Galkot Municipality-11, Righa, Fendi on Tuesday morning has disrupted vehicular operation along the Mid-Hill Pushpalal Highway.

The landslide has thrown transport services out of gear in the western part of the district. Dambar Shrish, ward-11 chair, said efforts are being made to clear the deck and resume traffic along the highway. “So far it may take a couple of hours to resume transport services on the road”, he added.

With the landslide-induced disruption, the short and long-route vehicles have been stranded on the highway. Meanwhile, transport service has been affected at Turture – the border of Badigad Rural Municipality and Dhorpatan Municipality since Monday after flood caused damages to the highway.

Preparation is on to use diversion alternative road.
