Biplav cadre held on bomb explosion charge



NUWAKOT: Police have arrested Bachchuram Lamichhane of Belkotgadi Municipality-5 for his alleged involvement in the bomb explosion that occurred in the ward office of Kakani Rural Municipality.

A group of cadres led by Lamichhane associated with Biplav outfit, which is now banned, had carried out an arson attack in the ward office on July 30.

Lamichhane was arrested from his Kirtipur-based stationary shop and taken to Nuwakot for investigation on Saturday, said Krishna Bahadur Pallimagar of District Police Office, Nuwakot.

Police said they are investigating Lamichhane after taking him on a three-day remand.
