Gagan Thapa spews venom against govt.

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress youth leader Gagan Thapa on Monday came down heavily on the government suggesting it to replace its much-touted slogan ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’ with ‘Prosperous Damak, Happy KP Oli’.

Thapa’s remarks followed the news that the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers had written to the National Planning Commission to prioritize his constituency Jhapa-5 for the next fiscal budget.

Taking part in the deliberations in Parliament over the policies and programs of the government, leader Thapa termed the policies and programs a ‘perplexed essay’.

Saying that the government has been frequently dragging the President into controversies, leader Thapa objected to the phrase ‘my government’ used by the President while presenting the policies and programs.
