NEW DELHI: A total of nine crore Indian voters across 51 constituencies of India will decide the fate of 674 candidates in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha polls today.

The phase 5 election has heavyweights Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi contesting the polls to protect their family bastions Amethi and Raebareli.

Likewise, BJP bigwigs include Rajnath Singh and Smriti Irani who are contesting from Lucknow and Amethi.

On Monday, voting is taking place in 12 in Rajasthan, 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh, and seven seats each in West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. Likewise, voting is also taking place in five constituencies in Bihar and four in Jharkhand.

In Jammu and Kashmir, polling is taking place in Ladakh constituency and Pulwama and Shopian districts of Anantnag seat. (Agencies)
