KATHMANDU: An abandoned British national Philips Malcolm died while receiving treatment at the Thapathali-based Norvic Hospital on Saturday. A doctor at the hospital confirmed his death. Malcolm breathed his last after his blood circulation dropped and he faced difficulty in breathing, according to the doctor.

Earlier he was left high and dry at the Emergency Ward of Bir Hospital. After Khabarhub carried out a news about the British national languishing at the hospital, a team of youths had taken him to Kathmandu Medical College and then to Norvic Hospital.

During a conversation with Khabarhub, Malcolm had expressed his desire to die in his own country which remained unfulfilled.

Malcolm was first admitted to the Teku-based Sukraraj Tropical & Infectious Disease Hospital some two weeks ago where he was diagnosed with Hepatitis C.
