SAG 2019: Nepal’s medal tally reaches 96 with 36 golds



KATHMANDU: India has secured the first position in the medal tally for the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) winning 117 medals including 57 gold medals till Thursday.

As per the latest medal tally, India has pocketed 40 silver and 20 bronze medals.

Nepal has been placed second in the medal tally. In the mega event that kicked off on Sunday, Nepal so far has bagged 96 medals including 36 gold, 26 silver and 34 bronze medals.

Sri Lanka is placed third with 100 medals including 17 gold, 32 silver and 51 bronze.

Likewise, Pakistan is placed fourth in the points table winning 55 medals. Pakistan has so far pocketed 12 gold, 21 silver and 22 silver medals.

Bangladesh is fifth winning 55 medals including four gold medals, 10 silver and 41 bronze medals in the regional sporting extravaganza.

The Maldives that is placed sixth in the medal tally has won one gold and two bronze medals and Bhutan is last with six bronze medals.
