13th SAG fifth day: Athletes competing for 17 events today



KATHMANDU:  The competition is taking place for different 17 events on the fifth day of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) on Thursday.

Seventeen different events are taking place in Pokhara and Kathmandu. Five among them are the new games while the rest are the continuation of the previous events.

India has taken the lead with 32 gold medals followed by Nepal with 29 gold medals since Wednesday.

Today’s events include archery, athletics, basketball, badminton, cricket, football, golf, handball, kabaddi, shooting, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, wrestling and Wushu.

Of them badminton, women’s cricket, women’s football, wrestling volleyball, archery and handball are taking place in Pokhara while the rest will be held in Kathmandu.
