Nepali Congress condemns sacking of governors

KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has condemned the sacking of the governors.

A meeting of the office-bearers of the party held at the party headquarters on Tuesday accused the incumbent government of foiling the politics of agreement by sacking the governors appointed during the party at the helm.

The main opposition maintained that the sacking was wrong as works for implementing federalism are yet to be executed.

“The decision is a political prejudice as it seems to be made to influence the upcoming by-elections. It is also against the election code of conduct,” the party said in a statement.
