JAJARKOT: Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet has said works to upgrade the Rigma-Dalli road section along the Bheri Corridor would begin this fiscal year.

During a review meeting of the District Coordination Committee, Jajarkot today, the minister said infrastructure development was the first condition for development and works to improve all roads in the district would kick off within the current fiscal year.

He assured the Jajarkot folks need not to wait for more days to see the better future of the district. The district’s products would find a better market once roads here were upgraded.

He admitted that the budget allocated for Jajarkot remained unspent, urging locals to send a wakeup call for stakeholders concerned towards that end.

According to him, substation construction projects are being implemented in three locations in the district for the transmission of electricity.
