BUTWAL: Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa has said that the government has become successful in dealing with the efforts carried out to push the country towards uncertainty.
At a state-level security seminar organized by the Home Ministry and the State 5 government’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, at Butwal, Minister Thapa said that peace and stability of the country have become stronger and some of the issues pushing the country towards uncertainty and disintegration have already been resolved.
He said, “The situation of peace, security and economic progress is moving ahead in a positive way.” Saying the government has taken a concrete step in course of implementing laws and federalism in the recent period, the Home Minister said that it has been doing homework to establish police organization at the State level by fulfilling all legal processes soon.
Minister Thapa expressed the belief that the Chinese President’s recent visit to Nepal after almost two decades would prove to be a milestone for Nepal’s development and prosperity, saying the government has been making the country’s international ties stronger. Stating that collaboration and agreement on many issues have been done between the two countries, he said that significant achievements have been gained in the country’s development and prosperity from this.
He said that the country has been heading towards the path of economic prosperity, adding that the government has set the target to increase the country’s economic growth rate to above eight percent in the coming fiscal year. The Home Minister further said that the government has been moving ahead towards the positive path to achieving the goal of double-digit economic growth rate within the coming four years.
Home Minister Thapa, Chief Minister of state 5, Shankar Pokhrel, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Kul Prasad KC, Chiefs of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, among others, have been participating today in the state-level seminar began from Monday.
Similarly, Chief District Officers, Chiefs of Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and National Investigation Department of 12 districts of state-5 have been participating in the seminar.(Photo available)
