Party unification in final stage, says Chairman Dahal



KATHMANDU: Chairman of Nepal Communist Party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has said the party unification process had reached the final stage.

Handing over the responsibility of the party’s foreign affairs department amidst a program on Thursday, Chairman Dahal reminded that although the party unification was delayed, the upcoming meeting of the party would finalize it.

On the occasion, then chief of foreign affairs department of then CPN Maoist (Centre) Narayan Kaji Shrestha handed over his post to the new chief of the department, Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Chairman Dahal viewed that questions were raised on the republic because some issues of the party unification were yet to be finalized.

“After the party unification, we will launch a nationwide campaign for party policy, program, plans, and orientation,” he said, adding the communist movement arrived here facing several challenges.
