KATHMANDU: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Chakrapani Khanal diagnosed with dengue virus has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Grande Hospital on Thursday.
Doctors attending to the minister said that he was shifted to the ICU after he showed no signs of improvement. Minister Khanal has been undergoing treatment at the Tokha-based hospital since Wednesday and was admitted to normal ward at the hospital.
Minister Khanal was admitted to Nidan Hospital, Lalitpur after he complained of high fever and headache following his return from Hetauda.
Nidan Hospital referred Khanal to Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Teku on the suspicion of dengue virus symptoms. Khanal was diagnosed with dengue virus after he underwent a blood test, according to his personal secretariat.
