WALING: Three people died in a road accident that occurred at Galyang in Syangja district.
The accident took place when an ill-fated jeep, Lu 1 Ja 3841, heading to Galyan from Hungi of Rambha Rural Municipality veered off and fell some 400 meters down the road, according to District Police Office, Syangja.
Women were travelling back home in the jeep after celebrating Teej Festival.
The deceased have been identified as Sita Nepali,70, and Manju Bhandari Gaire,34, of Rambha Rural Municipality-1, and nine-months-old Palsan Pariyar of Waling municipality-13, police said.
The injured are undergoing treatment in the United Mission Hospital in Palpa and Lumbini Medical College, Tansen, Palpa, and Galyang community health center.
