Thulo Bheri destroys three houses in Rukum West

RUKUM: Rising water level in Thulo Bheri River has caused rampant soil erosion at Manakabagar of Aathbiskot Municipality-6 in Rukum West.

The river has posed a high risk to nearby settlements with already destroying three houses.

According to the District Police Office, Rukum West, the river swept away houses of local Patre Bohara, 45, and Bhim Bahadur Bohara, 45 while the identity of the third victim is yet to be ascertained.

Other eight houses are at high risk of demolition from the river. However, the houses were evaluated a week ago and it has caused no human casualty yet.

Waters level in the river continues to rise due to incessant rain.
