New NC leadership on consensus: Poudel



CHITWAN: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has stressed on electing a new leadership who can work towards uniting the party.

Speaking at a press conference in Chitwan today, Poudel clarified that he would not claim for the party leadership if a consensus was forged within the party. He emphasized unity and harmony within the party.

On another context, Poudel said the party is currently under discussions to present itself as a strong opposition in the parliament. He also said that people have been disappointed with the government’s performance and that they were looking for an alternative of the K P Oli-led government.
