Provincial development expenditure only 17.07%

KATHMANDU: In the current fiscal year 2018/19, Karnali Province has witnessed 7.67 percent of development expenditure (the lowest) while Far West  has spent the record high 22.86 percent development expenditure.

The government had allocated Rs 18.83 billion for the development of Karnali Province, but it has spent only Rs 1.44 billion. Far West has spent highest 22.86 percent of the total development budget allocated for it.

The development expenditure of all the seven provinces is put at 17.07 percent, said a report in Naya Patrika.
