Suicide bomber, gunmen attack police headquarters in Afghanistan



KABUL: A Taliban suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden car at a police headquarters in northern Afghanistan, media reports said.

The incident was followed by clashes between gunmen and security forces.

At least 40 people had been injured, according to Mohibullah Habib, provincial health director in Pul-e-Khumri.

A member of the Baghlan provincial council, Assadullah Shahbaz said, clashes have not stopped.

The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack. (Agencies)
