2 killed in truck-van collision in Lalitpur



KATHMANDU: Two people died in a road accident at Nayabato Chowk along the Kalanki-Koteshwor road section Lalitpur on Friday afternoon.

The incident took place when a truck, Na 1 Gha 533, collided head-on with a pickup van carrying vegetables this afternoon.

The identity of those who sustained injuries in the accident is yet to be ascertained. The transportation was briefly halted following the accident.

The over-speed is the cause of the accident, according to police. With the Kalanki-Koteshwor road section widened, the number of accidents has also has gone up.

Police said they are investigating the case.
