KAWASOTI: A person died in a road accident at Madhyabindu municipality-10 of Nawalparasi along the East-West Highway last night.
Twenty-two-year old Tikaram Mahato died when a truck with registration plate Na 8 Kha 1845 hit the scooter — Lu 41 Pa 1727 — he was riding, police said.
Pillion rider Bharat Gurau, 21, sustained injuries in the incident.
Mahato was rushed to Bharatpur, Chitwan for treatment. He died while undergoing treatment this morning, according to the police.
