Arrest warrant against DSP Kumodh Dhungel

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court on Wednesday has issued an arrest warrant against DSP Kumodh Dhungel, a suspect in the Ranibari robbery case, alleging him of being involved in criminal activities.

Nepal Police Head Office had suspended him from the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police in April.

Most of the suspects of the pillage and dacoits of the Ranibari case had taken his name as the person involved in the case.

Bikash Shrestha, who was arrested for being involved in the Ranibari dacoit case on April 9, was found to have close contact with DSP Dhungel. Earlier, the call details of the conversation between Bikash Shrestha and DSP Dhungel was made public.

The alleged, in their statement, had stated that they had met DSP Dhungel on the day of robbery.
